LAYOUT_LIMIT_EXCEEDED is a geometric warning: the minimum measured geometry or explicit placement constraints exceed a requested layout budget.
What triggers it. A compact C4 width budget smaller than a card, nested boundary, protected label corridor or authored placement constraint can accommodate. Content is retained at its legible size.
How to fix it. Increase the requested width, allow wrapping, remove explicit placement constraints or split the diagram. The warning reports a limitation rather than silently shrinking or dropping content.
Run am verify diagram.mmd --json, inspect this code, and apply the smallest source or typed mutation that clears it. If it persists after two mechanical attempts, return the warning and ask for human review.
